Your initial e-mail consultation is free. Send a sample of your work to one of our editors (for longer projects, two or three pages from the middle of your book or story are best). We can discuss your project–its size, its scope, and what you’d like from the editing process. Your editor will polish up your sample and return it to you, giving you a chance to see her skill, technique, and desk-side manner for yourself.

If, after looking over the sample edit, you feel Carpelibros is not the right fit for you, you’ll owe us nothing, and we can recommend other writing and editing professionals who might better serve your needs.

If you like what you see on your sample edit, we can work with you following the style guide and dictionary of your choice, or suggest one or both to you if you don’t yet have a preference.

Manuscript Evaluation

A thorough beta read. Your editor will review your manuscript as a whole and point out issues with logic, direction, voice, and tone. Are the characters interesting? Does the dialogue ring true? The focus is on story, not grammar.

$0.003 per word with a $10 minimum.

Full Edit

Making your manuscript ready for publication, whether it needs developmental work or a simple once-over to check spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

Pricing is on a per-project basis. After your sample edit we can discuss what your manuscript needs and what you want from an editor.
